Adventure through the magnificence of the Canadian Rockies. Though they formed some 75 million years ago, there’s no time like the present to pay the Canadian Rockies a visit. Over the course of this seven-day adventure, you’ll travel into the spectacular mountain landscapes. Experience the thrill of walking on ancient glaciers, cruising across pristine magical lakes, and learning traditional Indigenous knowledge.
Day 01
Welcome to Calgary, eh! Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 6 pm. If you arrive early, experience Canadian hospitality at Calgary’s budding dining scene, check out Prince’s Island Park, or see the skyline from the Calgary Tower.
Day 02
Head out from the city and into the mountains to see a pair of impossibly blue glacier-fed lakes. See the splendour of Moraine Lake, backed by ten snow-dusted peaks, and the world-famous Lake Louise.
Day 03
Rise early to head up the Icefields Parkway into Jasper National Park. The Parkway runs between towering glacier-capped peaks and past pristine lakes. Stop off at Peyto Lake and the powerful Sunwapta Falls. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife like elk, moose, bears, and bighorn sheep.
Day 04
Take a panoramic cruise down Maligne Lake, sailing in a glass-enclosed and heated boat. Stop for a nature walk to view the iconic Spirit Island, only accessible by boat, and learn about its significance to the Stoney Nakoda First Nation. Enjoy an included group dinner at a local restaurant this evening.
Day 05
Board a custom-built all-terrain vehicle and head out on an ice explorer tour of the Athabasca Glacier. Walk on the glacier and even take a drink from its icy meltwater before continuing to the town of Banff.
Day 06
Weave your way through history as you see the Rockies’ valleys and mountain chains. Connect with the land on an Indigenous Medicine Walk, where your guide will share traditional Cree knowledge. Take the gondola up Sulphur Mountain for breathtaking panoramic views and a farewell dinner on the mountaintop.
Day 07
Complete your grand tour of the Rockies and arrive back in Calgary. Your adventure will end upon arrival in the city.
